Liz Woodland School holds sports meet

Winners of the best player awards.

DIMAPUR, MARCH 15 (MExN): The Liz Woodland School, Lengrijan conducted its annual sports meet from March 11 to 13 under the theme ‘For the fastest and the strongest’. 

The annual sports meet began with a marathon race with 40 participants. On the last day of the meet, Rokhumba of class 9 and Imtijungla of class 8 were awarded as the best players and Milak house captured the title of Champion house.

The Best Disciplined team was awarded to Dikhu house and march pass competition was won by Doyang house.

Lendina Imsong, Headmistress of the school sent a message to one and all that success can only be achieved with discipline and hard labour and encouraged all the winners and losers to maintain games spirit for any event in future. 

Sarat Thangjam, Secretary, Sports Committee meanwhile added that that education can only be completed if games and sports are considered as major part in schools.
