Longwa Students union games meet underway

MON, DECEMBER 28 (MExN): The 23rd Games and Sports Meet-cum-Literary Competition of the Longwa Students’ Union (LSU) started on December 27 in Longwa under the theme— Education through Games and Sports. According to an LSU press release, more than 500 youths are expected to participate in various competitions during the meet spread over 5 days. Football, volleyball, essay, painting, quiz and singing competitions were some of the events lined up. 

 


The release informed that former Chairman of the Naga Self-Administered Zone, Myanmar, Ro San Kyu, attended the inaugural function as a special guest. He was accompanied by a host of leaders community leaders from the NSAZ. The release said that Kyu encouraged the young participants to continue to invest their interest in co-curricular activities, alongside formal education. 

 


LSU President Gangpai Konyak encouraged the young participants to be always sociable and to be good social bearers, the release added.
