Wokha, February 4 (MExN): Friends Club Wokha Village (FCWV) and A1 Tsungiki today entered the semifinals of the ongoing 10th Lotha Football Championship organised by the Wokha District Football Association.
In the third quarter-final match today at Local Ground Wokha, FCWV trashed RCR Football Club by 11-0, with two players scoring hat trick.
The onslaught was led by Sulan, who scored six goals, while FCWV’s captain netted three. Another two goals from Nzauhut completed FCWV domination of RCR.
The fourth quarter-final match was more evenly poised but eventually, A1 Tsungiki prevailed over their opponent Young Generation by a solitary goal to enter the semifinals.
Along Longkumer, Motor Vehicle Officer, Wokha graced the quarterfinals match as the match patron.
The semi-final matches will be played from Thursday. Before the matches, an exhibition charity match will be played between Wokha District Veteran Football Association and the organizers (WDFA).
