Makeshift hospital made functional in Longleng

Longleng, April 14 (MExN): The makeshift hospital at Bautung Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Longleng was made functional after the dedication programme held on April 14. The makeshift hospital was dedicated by Beau Phom, pastor, Longleng Town Baptist Church (LTBC) in the presence of the guest speaker, Deputy Commissioner, Longleng M Shayung Phom.
A DIPR report stated that since the district hospital Longleng was converted to COVID-19 patients, the citizens of Longleng are informed to visit and available medical services at the makeshift hospital at Bautung GHSS, Longleng from now on.
DC Longleng lauded the doctors, nurses and medical staffs of District Hospital and CMO office Longleng who have been working relentlessly for the safety and health being of the people and experiencing lives like never before.
He asserted that despite shortage of manpower, experts and medical equipments they have been trying to make its own best system with the available resources to provide best health care services to the people.
The DC appealed to all the frontline workers combating COVID-19 to rededicate in their respective profession and cater to the needs of the people. He informed that the district administration and Police along with the medical department and government officials are busy constantly visiting villages especially in the interstate and district border to take stock of the situation.
Shayung also acknowledge the cooperation and support extended by the government agencies and civil societies to the district administration, police and medical department to combat COVID-19 in the district and seek more cooperation and support in the task ahead too.
Pastor Beau Phom, LTBC dedicated the makeshift hospital while Dr Lhouvizotuo Belho, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Longleng thanked all those who have contributed and assist the medical department in various ways. The program was chaired by Dr Bongnau Phom.
