Shillong, Novenber 29 (NNN): In a shocking incident in a remote Sohphoh village of East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya a man beheaded his wife aged 52 for alleged infidelity.
The victim identified as Timotris Syiemlieh was beheaded by her suspicious husband at her own home at around 2.30 on Monday. The husband is identified as Rebinal Kharsyiemiong . Acting on information received from the villagers, East Khasi Hills police rushed to the village and arrested the perpetrator. According to the police, Kharsyiemiong suspected his wife of having an affair with another man, a reason that he cited for committing the heinous crime. Kharsyiemiong has been remanded for police custody for further interrogation.
