Kohima, January 26 (MExN): Cadet Memota Keisham, a Class X girl cadet of Sainik School Imphal, brought laurels to Manipur by interacting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the flagship programme Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 (PPC), officials said.
The interaction, held on January 22, 2026, was broadcast nationwide. A total of 37 students from across the country were selected for the prestigious interaction.
Memota is the only student from Manipur to be selected and the first female cadet from all Sainik Schools to receive the rare privilege of interacting with the Prime Minister. She was chosen in recognition of her strong communication skills, creativity, critical thinking and confidence.
She hails from Langthabal Khunou in Thoubal district and is the eldest daughter of Keisham Debendra Singh and Maibam Tilotama Devi.
The Principal of Sainik School Imphal felicitated Cadet Memota Keisham for bringing pride and glory to the school and the state. He said her achievement would serve as a source of motivation and inspiration for students across Sainik Schools and Manipur.
