Naga Parliamentarians Forum, Manipur (NPFM) has expressed its sorrow over the demise of Danny Shaiza, former MLA from Ukhrul assembly constituency who passed away in Imphal on February 28.
According to the NPFM, Shaiza was a visionary leader who “stood up courageously for the cause of the weak and down trodden tribal people in particular and the state as a whole.”
The Forum said that Shaiza never shied away from taking part in crucial meetings to take important decisions in an endeavor to find an amicable and lasting political solution to the Naga issue.
"In his demise a huge vacuum has been created which will be hard to fill in the near future," the Forum said. It also expressed that the Naga people in particular and the state as a whole will be deprived of a caring, affable, noble and visionary leader.
The Forum conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God will grant strength and comfort in this time of grief and sorrow.
