MDFA Trophy: Telongjem FC, Alempang YA enter semis

Telongjem FC entered the semi-finals of the MDFA trophy today beating Moanungsang FC 3-2. 

In the early 7th minute of the game, Zhezose Mathew scored the first goal for Telongjem FC. The Moanungsang FC players showed equal determination and grit to win which led to a goal in the 40th minute through defender, Inovi who scored the equalizer with a header. 

The second half of the game was mostly dominated by Telongjem FC, who retook the lead at the 52nd minute through the boots of Kakhevi Assumi.

A hand ball by Lima of Moanungsang FC resulted in a penalty, which in Tenlongjem FC doubling their lead. 

Aripong from Moanungsang FC scored in the dying minutes but there was not much time for them to draw level. 

In the other quarter final match of the day, Alempang YA secured their semi final place by beating Super Vene United 3-1.

Yashimeren of Alempang YA opened the account in the 21st minute. Super Vene United quickly equalized through Suponglemba in the 33rd minute. The first half ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Lipoktoshi of Alempang YA helped his team retake the lead by scoring in the 62nd minute, followed by another goal in the 65th minute. This put the game out of reach for Super Vene United.
