Kohima/Dimapur January 12 (MExN): The Mech Kachari Public Organisation Nagaland and Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio has extended greetings and best wishes to the Mech Kachari community on the occasion of Aai Sagi, the post-harvest festival observed on January 13.
In a press release, the organisation said Aai Sagi symbolises gratitude for the harvest, harmony with nature and the enduring cultural heritage of the Mech Kachari people. It expressed hope that the festival would bring peace, prosperity, unity and happiness to every household.
“Let us continue to preserve and celebrate our rich traditions for future generations,” stated the message issued by Dharma Dhaj Sonowal, General Secretary of the Mech Kachari Public Organisation Nagaland.
Meanwhile, CM Rio, in a post on X, extended greetings and best wishes to the Mech Kachari community on the occasion.
He described the festival as a time of gratitude and expressed hope that it would strengthen friendship and unity while ushering in happiness and prosperity for all.
