Kohima, November 19 (MExN): The District Mission Authority, SSA Kohima in collaboration with Naga Hospital Authority Kohima has organized Medical Assessment Camp for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) in the age group of 6-14 years at Naga Hospital Kohima from October 14 to 21 last.
The camp was held in order to access the nature and level of disabilities so as to provide aids and appliances to the needy children in order to assist and support them in their studies, to give equal opportunity for inclusive education as it is a fundamental right for every child to get free and compulsory education and now that it has become not only an obligation but mandatory to get/receive free and compulsory education under Right of Education under RTE Act 2009.
The successful conduct of the medical assessment camp was possible mainly due to the support and cooperation of the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and the team of specialist doctors and their team, parents, teachers and all those people including media personnel for wide publicity towards this venture, a release received here said.
