DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 17 (MExN): Nagaland made light work of Manipur on Day 1 of the Men's Senior Ranji Trophy 2019-20 played at Videocon Ground, Kolkata on Tuesday. By the end of the day, Nagaland was leading by 77 runs.
Manipur won the toss and elected to bat. Manipur managed 116 getting bundled out in 50.1 overs. Tops scorers were Priyojit (44 runs) and Rex (19 runs). Nagaland’s left arm spinner Imliwati continued spinning his magic with a 7 wicket haul keeping the batsmen in check, while Stuart Binny took 2 wickets and Tahmeed 1, respectively. Earlier, Imliwati has taken 13 wickets in the first match against Meghalaya.
At stumps, Nagaland was 194 runs with three down in 38 overs. Jonathan made a smashing 79 runs followed closely by SS Mundhe with 68 runs and YV Takawale with 21 runs.
