Imphal, November 28 (NNN): A 72-hour bandh imposed by the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-MC) on Monday turned out to be a mixed response as it partially affected normal life in the capital city.
A good number of private vehicles were seen as usual but passenger vehicles remained off the roads and inter-state and inter-district passenger services were totally paralyzed after 10 am today.
All the markets were closed; no business establishments were opened even as both private and Government educational institutions were also shut down.
The KCP-MC has called the strike to protest against the killing of one of its comrades in an alleged encounter by security forces.
