DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): DC & Chairman, DTFI, Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has informed that the 2nd round of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0, an Immunization campaign that aims to cover children aged between 0-5 years and pregnant women who have missed due doses, will be carried out from September 11- 16.
The vaccine is safe since they are extensively tested before it is approved to use. Most of the side effects following vaccination are mild commonest fever and pain at injection side. Only 1 out of 10 lakhs vaccination causes serious allergies reaction which usually happens within 30 minutes after receiving vaccination, a DIPR report stated.
The medical personnel giving vaccination are well trained to manage such cases. The vaccine protects the child from 12 childhood killer diseases known as vaccine preventable diseases.
The Government of India have introduced UWIN app for self-registration and booking at the nearest immunization site through mobile phone at the following link- https://uwinselfregistration.mohfw.gov.in/login.or one can walk into the nearest immunization site for onsite registration and vaccination. Aadhaar card and registered phone number is mandatory for vaccination through UWIN app.
