DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 21 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (Neokpao-Alezo) held its annual meeting with regional authorities on November 21, with participation from RAOs, secretaries and staff representing all 23 regions across Nagaland.
Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh, who delivered the keynote address, urged national workers serving at the regional level to remain steadfast and committed to the Naga National Movement, guided by the principle of “Nagaland for Christ.” He said the Naga people had gradually drifted from the original purpose of the movement and had become increasingly influenced by material pursuits and political power.
Venuh said it was time for the Naga people to reflect on the past and redefine Naga national politics on the foundation of moral integrity, adding that without unity and genuine reconciliation, a solution to the Naga political issue would remain elusive.
Kilonser, Ministry of Kilo Affairs, Huvito Yepthomi, also addressed the gathering and expressed appreciation for the dedication and efficiency of regional workers. He encouraged them to continue performing their duties with discipline and commitment.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of a two-point resolution, with all 23 Regional Authorities reaffirming their support to the leadership of President Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh. The resolution endorsed the leadership to continue steering the Naga political issue towards a “rightful and logical” conclusion.
The house further resolved to support the Ungma and Zunheboto resolutions initiated by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation to bring all Naga Nationalist Political Groups together under one platform.
