Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): More Unions expressed their dismay and condemnation over the attack of Education and Sports Minister DD Thaisii. The Maram Students’ Union (MKS) and Maram Bazar Village Board have vehemently condemned the “Unfortunate incident” of November 12 evening where cavalcade’s after crossing 3 kms beyond Maram Bazar on Purul road under Senapati District was attack by unidentified miscreants.
Pungdi. P. Celestine, President, Maram Students’ Union (MKS) stated that the miscreants intruded the Village jurisdiction and resorting to barbaric acts with the clear intention to harm the peaceful atmosphere and tarnish the image of the area which constantly attempt for Peace efforts cannot be tolerated whatsoever. MKS appealed the citizens to readily deter any inimical elements that threaten the civil society and social harmony and urges all to be exceptionally aware of the ‘surroundings’.
While expressing gratitude to Col. Vikram Dubey, CO 5 AR for timely intervention and co-operation, MKS extended its solidarity to the injured security personal, Sani Mao and his family.
The Poumai Naga Baptist Association also in another press note strongly condemned the attack.The union stated that such act of attempting to assassinate one’s own brother was so inhuman and barbaric and such act should be refrained from the present Naga Society, They asserted that such act will only hamper to achieve anything good.
The Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) also strongly condemned the attack on the convey and stated that they were shocked to learn of the deadly attack carried out with intention of murdering the Minister when his convoy was on its way to Purul to inspect Developmental projects.
In a press note by L.R.John, President, SDSA it was also mentioned that the Association expresses their heartfelt sympathy to Sanii Pao, Subedar, 4th IRB, who was seriously injured in the attacked and wished him speedy recovery.The Association demanded that the concern authority ensure such attacked do not occurred again in Senapati District.

The Poumai Naga Union (PNU) also strongly condemned the life attempt of D.D Thaisii, Minister, Education & YAS. It was stated that the PNU office believes in peace and reconciliation and under such process violence/bloodshed was condemned in strongest term.
Further, failure of the State Government to provide adequate security for VVIP was condemnable at the same time, PNU wished escort Commander Subedar Th. Sanii 4th IRB who was injured in the accident a speedy recovery.
