MP Khekiho Zhimomi visit fire victims

Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Khekiho Zhimomi visited the fire victims at Burma Camp, Dimapur on November 17. The MP expressed his concern for the victims and the family members of the deceased of the tragic incident of November 15 where more than 804 families were rendered homeless and three lives were lost in fire carnage that broke out.
Fire Victims Relief Committee Member Raj Kumar Paira in a press release stated that Zhimomi opined the absence of proper planned sub- urban/rural housing system in such densely populated locality can be attributed as the basis of such repeated incidents in Dimapur town which needs to be addressed collectively.  
Accompanying the Rajya Sabha MP, Former MLA Dimapur- 1 Atomi Zhimomi commented that on such unfortunate incidents “It is not necessarily about politics or whether one gives less or more. It is about wholehearted expression of solidarity by one and all in terms of prayer and unity which will ultimately prevail upon such bad times.”
As a relief grant, MP Khekiho Zhimomi donated Rupees One lakh towards the Relief Committee Fund. He also provided 100 bags of Rice and Rupees ten thousand each to three families of the fire victims who died.
