Dimapur, November 27 (MExN): A 30 member team from the Naga Council team has returned from a trip to Israel. The team began its pilgrimage from the Northern Israel and completed the journey in Egypt. Among the many historical places visited include Bethlehem; the village of Cana, Nazareth and Tiberias; Sea of Galilee; Capernaum; Bethany; Lazarus’ tomb; Golgotha where Christ was crucified; Garden Tomb of Jesus and sites where magnificent memorial Churches have been built.
The tour was funded by individual Councilors bearing 50% of the entire cost, while the remaining half was mobilized by the office of the Naga Council and the generous contributions from Home Minister Imkong Imchen, Planning Minister TR Zeliang, Medical Minister Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA Azheto Zhimomi and SP Dimapur Z. Mero. Naga Council Dimapur has expressed gratitude to all those who have contributed in making the trip a success.
