Naga Folk Fusion band Abiogenesis releases long-awaited single

Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): Nagaland-based folk fusion band Abiogenesis has released its latest single, “Let’s Spend Our Lives Together”, globally across all major music platforms from January 16.

The song is distributed via Muzartdisco, an innovative platform launched by Radio City and Beatchain, designed to transform the independent music ecosystem.

A deeply personal composition, the track was written by band members Arenla and Moa Subong during their teenage courtship. Despite their subsequent musical, personal, and professional journeys, the song remained unrecorded and unreleased for decades.

The band finally entered the studio to record it in November 2025. After years of waiting, the song is now being released to the public.

In a conscious effort to preserve its original essence, the band chose not to alter a single word of the lyrics, maintaining the innocence, honesty, and simplicity of their teenage years. The original melody was also kept intact, marking a deliberate departure from Abiogenesis’s signature Howeymusic genre.

Described as musically rich and emotionally grounded, “Let’s Spend Our Lives Together” features heartfelt lyrics, melodic bamboo guitar work, and a powerful arrangement. An official music video is scheduled for release soon on YouTube.
