Nagaland Agriculture Department constitutes RMC, GRMC AND PMU

Kohima, September 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has constituted three committees for the implementation of the Central Sector Scheme Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PM-KISAN), in supersession of the Agriculture Department's letter of even number dated October 29, 2020, and in pursuance of the provisions contained in the Operational Guidelines of the scheme.

According to an official notification, the Review and Monitoring Committee (RMC) will be chaired by the Director of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, with Additional Director I and Additional Director II of the Department of Agriculture as members. The Joint Director (Planning), Joint Director (General Administration & Establishment) and Deputy Director (Agriculture Census) of the Department of Agriculture will also be members, while the Joint Director and State Nodal Officer of PM-KISAN, Department of Agriculture, will serve as Member Secretary.

The Grievances Redressal Monitoring Committee (GRMC) will be chaired by the Agriculture Production Commissioner and Commissioner & Secretary, Agriculture Department, Government of Nagaland. The Director of Agriculture, Director of Horticulture, Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, and Director of Fisheries & Aquatic Services, Government of Nagaland, will be members, with the Joint Director and State Nodal Officer of PM-KISAN as Member Secretary.

The Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) will have the Director of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and the State Nodal Officer for PM-KISAN as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy. CEO). District Agriculture Officers (DAOs) will serve as District Co-ordinators, all Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officers (SDAOs) as Block Co-ordinators, and the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) as Account & Financial Manager.
