Nagaland ATMA staff unpaid for 6 months; seek CM’s intervention

Kohima, January 9 (MExN): The employees working under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (CSS–ATMA) in Nagaland have appealed to the state’s Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, over the non-payment of their salaries for the past six months.

In an open letter released today, the employees stated that despite discharging their duties sincerely, their legitimate dues remain unpaid. The prolonged delay, they said, has led to “severe financial hardship,” adversely impacting their families, children’s education, medical needs, and daily sustenance.

The letter emphasised that “salary is a basic right of any employee, and its denial seriously affects morale and the effective implementation of this important agricultural scheme.”

“We humbly seek your kind intervention for the immediate release of our pending salaries and for ensuring timely payment in the future,” CSS–ATMA appealed.
