Kohima, April 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) has announced the resumption of its annual membership fee collection for the financial year 2026–27, with the exercise aimed at updating membership data and maintaining proper records.
In a notification, the association said a fee of Rs 300 per person will be collected from members in accordance with provisions under Articles 15 (Clauses 1 and 2), 17(a) and 18 of the NCA Constitution.
The collection process has commenced this month and will remain valid till March 31, 2027, covering the full financial year, it said.
The NCA said the membership drive is open to any person residing in Nagaland and urged chess players, supporters and well-wishers to enrol or renew their membership.
“The exercise is undertaken to update the Association’s yearly membership data and to maintain proper records of members on an annual basis,” the statement said, adding that the step was necessitated due to incomplete member data in recent years.
For enrolment, individuals have been asked to remit the prescribed fee to the association’s bank account with the State Bank of India under the name “Nagaland Chess Association”.
After making the payment, members are required to send the payment screenshot to the Joint Secretary, Mengise Haikam, for confirmation and completion of enrolment. The association appealed for cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure successful completion of the membership drive.
