Nagaland to compete at Khelo India youth games

Nagaland will be taking part in three disciplines of archery, athletic and wrestling at the forthcoming 3rd Khelo India Youth Games at Guwahati from January 10 to 20.
Nagaland’s youth resources & sports advisor Er. Zale Neikha confirmed this while interacting with media persons in his official residence this afternoon.
Er. Neikha said the state team comprising 10 (2 each for archery and athletics and six wrestlers) will join the meet.
Astroturf for Dimapur, Eastern Nagaland.
The advisor said that he is going to pursue for installation of Astroturf football pitch in Dimapur and another one in Eastern Nagaland.
Stating that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is also showing much interest to install more Astroturf in the state, Er. Neikha informed that he will seek fund from Government of India this year for such projects. The advisor also strongly felt the need to revive Nagaland Premier League.
“We will try to organize the premier league this year,” he said adding that Premier League is a must to groom and carry forward football in Nagaland.
