A squad of four men from Nagaland has brought home many medals at India strongman competition held at Dehradun, Uttarakhand from January 25 to 26 last.


Under strongman competition, Vizobilie Punyii secured Gold medal under 80kg category. Kevilelie Pienyii and Sedevizo Keretsii bagged Bronze and silver medal under 90kg and 105kg respectively.


T. Akum Jamir also bagged bronze medal under 105 kg.


In Indian cup deadlift competition, Vizobilie Punyii bagged Gold medal while Kevilelie Pienyii won bronze medal under 82.5 kg.


T. Akum Jamir bagged silver medal under 100 kg.


Kevilelie Pienyii bagged silver medal under 90 kg in Strict Curl competition while Sedevizo Keretsii bagged bronze medal under 100 kg.


It may be recalled that a squad of four men from Nagaland was led by team manager Khriezo Suokhrie.


Suokhrie informed that the squad under the banner “Oriental Fitness” was sponsored by De Oriental Grand, NK Square Pvt. Ltd., Big Life Events, Khriehu Liezietsu, N. Lanu, Pele Khiezhie and Starlake Hostel.
