KKK training underway at ATI

Kohima, July 1 (MExN): Forty government employees from six departments in Nagaland began a two-day training programme aimed at promoting a culture of selfless public service and strengthen service delivery at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima, on July 1 .

The Karmayogi Kartavya Karyashala (KKK), organised by the Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India, and the ATI Nagaland, seeks to institutionalise Seva Bhav (service attitude) among frontline government officials.

Participants have been drawn from the Nagaland Police, Municipal Affairs, SCERT, Social Welfare, Health & Family Welfare, and the State Institute of Rural Development.

Inaugurating the programme at ATI, Kohima, Additional Chief Secretary and Director General, ATI, V Shashank Shekhar said one of the foremost responsibilities of government servants is to serve the most vulnerable sections of society with dedication and empathy.

He urged participants to view themselves as change-makers and role models within their workplaces and communities, adding that such training contributes to the broader vision of a Viksit Bharat and a Viksit Nagaland.

A press release from ATI informed that the KKK is one of the country's largest capacity-building initiatives for government employees aimed at instilling the spirit of selfless public service among frontline government officials.

It is designed to foster a service-oriented work culture among frontline officials through a cascading model, under which National Lead Trainers train State Master Trainers, who are then certified as State Lead Trainers to train officials across departments, it added.

The inaugural session was chaired by Limakumla, Under Secretary, P&AR Department, and attended by Bendanglila, Additional Director, ATI, along with institute officials. The resource persons for the workshop are Dr Rajkumari Surbala Devi, Dr Tanya Nandkeoliar of RIMS, Imphal, and Maibam Warish from the Capacity Building Commission.
