Kohima, January 12 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the Chang community on the occasion of Poang Lüm.
In his message, the Governor said Poang Lüm stands as a testament to the enduring cultural heritage, unity and cherished traditions of the Chang community. He noted that the festival provides an opportunity to reflect on shared values, strengthen social harmony and foster mutual understanding among all sections of society.
He expressed hope that the spirit of the festival would inspire peace, collective progress and a renewed commitment to preserving cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister, in a post on X, described Poang Lüm as a festival that celebrates friendship, the renewal of bonds and heralds the upcoming cultivation season.
He wished that the year ahead would bring peace, harmony, prosperity and abundant harvests to the community.
