Nagaland: Müleciyi Vadeo wins CWA U-16 Wrestling C’ship

Sixteen year old Müleciyi Vadeo from Rünguzu Nawü today emerged as the champion of the 1st Under-16 category of 27th Wrestling tournament of Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) at Phek town.
Vadeo, representing Chozuba Range Wrestling Association defeated 15 year old Thenuveyi Vero of Chepoketa village by two straight bout in the final to take the title.
Johi Rhakho and Phrüpe Lomi stood third and fourth position respectively.
The champion received Rs. 25,000 while the second, third and fourth place received Rs. 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.
Chokri Area Wrestling Association emerged as the group champion and received Rs. 10,000.
Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) vice president Neikhrolo Khalo graced the valedictory function as the guest of honour.
The two-day tournament was hosted by the Phek Area Wrestling Association (PAWA) and managed by Losami Baptist Church (LBC).
Meanwhile, the CWA announced its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2020-24 with Vekhozo as president and Kuzhovesa Soho as general secretary.
