SD Jain Samaj refutes rumour on Mahaveer Jayanti celebration

Dimapur, April 14 (MExN): The Shree Digamber Jain Samaj, Dimapur has denied that Mahaveer Jayanti was celebrated in Dimapur on April 6. Refuting the rumour in social media about the Jain community celebrating Mahaveer Jayanti on April 6, SD Jain Samaj, Dimapur President, Omprakash Sethi informed in a press release that Jain community closed down the Jain temple and all social gathering, religious function were all banned from March 24 till further notice.

 

KSON condoles 

Dimapur, April 14 (MExN): The Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) expressed condolence on the demise of Kaka D Iralu, “a prolific writer and a true Naga patriot.” KSON Media Cell in a condolence note said that “A good heart has stopped beating but a heart that has touched so many lives continues to live among the people.” KSON also extends condolence to the bereaved family and prays for the “good soul be at peace with our heavenly Father.”
 

DC Kiphire notifies

Kiphire, April 14 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Sarita Yadav IAS has informed that in view of the active case detected in Dimapur, some of the areas at Dimapur like Marwari Patti, Ghorapatty and including the Zion Hospital has been sealed, all such person who have arrived in the Kiphire District on or after March 24 from Dimapur and have visited the sealed areas or market during their stay at Dimapur and even those people who had come from other parts of the states and have visited the sealed areas have been requested to inform the Kiphire District Task Force about such visit, to enable the DTF to take suitable preventive measures. “It is reiterated that failure to comply with the advisory will attract legal action as per the provisions of law,” the DC added.

 

Ward chairman under Kohima Town informed

Kohima, April 14 (MExN): A meeting has been convened at District Planning & Development Board Hall, DC's Office, Kohima, on April 16 at 11:00 am to identify suitable motels, paying guests and hostels within Kohima Town for the purpose of quarantining returnees in the event of resumption of commercial flights in Nagaland. All Ward Chairman under Kohima Town are requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting along with one additional member.
