Lumami, October 27 (MExN): A team of researchers from Nagaland, led by Dr VihenoIralu of Nagaland University and Dr MeguovilieSachu from the state's Chief Medical Office, has been selected for the Sakura Science Exchange Program 2025 in Japan.

The delegation will visit prominent universities and research institutions in Okayama, Kyoto, Kurashiki, and Osaka from October 26 to November 1, 2025, according to a press release.

The team includes six other young researchers from various scientific disciplines.

Fully funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the program is hosted by Prof Takahashi Yuichiro from Okayama University.

It aims to promote international collaboration, innovation, and mutual understanding between Japan and other Asian countries through short-term visits and academic interactions, the statement added.

During the exchange, participants will take part in lectures, laboratory visits, discussions with Japanese researchers, and cultural immersion activities.
