NBHM distributes tools under PMJVM at Kami

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): The Werhu VDVK inauguration programme, along with the distribution of tools and equipment under the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission (PMJVM) was held on November 15 at Kami Village in Phek District.

The event was formally launched by Obed Quinker, Chairman, Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM). In his address as a special Guest, Quinker said that the core aim of the NBHM initiative is to enhance and uplift rural livelihood.

He lauded the successful establishment of the VDVK unit comprising of 300 beneficiaries, describing it as a success and achievement of the community to work collaboratively.

While NBHM is widely recognized for its work in beekeeping and honey production, it is now committed to integrating other minor forest produce available within the region, he said.

He assured that under PMJVM scheme, NBHM and district officers will provide consistent guidance and handholding support.

Er. Khuvoyi Vese gave a detailed presentation on the aims, objectives and operational guidelines of the PMJVM scheme. Neikhrolo Khalo also delivered short speech. Welcome address was delivered by Wetezu Kupa, chairman Kami Village Council.
