North East India International Model United Nations annual conference was held at Don Bosco Institute, Dimapur from October 18 to 20.
Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): The North East India International Model United Nations (NEIMUN) annual conference, held at Don Bosco Institute, Dimapur from October 18 to 20 brought together more than 100 young leaders and delegates from across Northeast India.
The conference served as a platform for discussions on global issues, diplomacy, and international relations, with fierce competition among participants representing different schools, colleges and institutions.

Maple Tree School, Dimapur was awarded the ‘Best Delegation Award’ for demonstrating teamwork, discipline and active participation throughout the Committee sessions. The competition was intense, with each delegation bringing their best efforts to the table.
In addition, three delegates were recognised with the Best Delegate Awards for their individual excellence which included Alvin Singson-Maple Tree School, Dimapur; Pragyan Dutta-MVM-4 Borsajai, Assam; and Thuirei Vashum-Delhi Public School, Dimapur.
“These delegates displayed leadership, facilitated consensus-building during committee sessions and brought out the best in other delegates, earning them recognition for their outstanding performances,” stated a press release issued by Tiapong Tzudir, Media and Communications Team, NEIMUN 2024.

The conference concluded with the Closing Plenary Session, Session, where participants reflected on their experiences and the skills they gained over the three days. Many highlighted how simulating the United Nations and adopting the roles of world leaders broadened their perspectives and enhanced their abilities.
Marking its 9th edition, the NEIMUN Foundation also launched its official Alumni Network during the closing ceremony. This initiative aims to promote continued growth, collaboration, and mentorship among past and present delegates, ensuring that NEIMUN’s legacy of nurturing future leaders and change makers continues to thrive.
