Medziphema, December 8 (MExN): A new center of ICAR-AICRP on Linseed was launched at Medziphema, NU:SASRD on December 6 by the chief guest, Prof. Pardeshi Lal, Vice Chancellor Nagaland University in the presence of Dr. P. K. Singh, Project coordinator, ICAR-AICRP, Linseed, IIPR, Kanpur as the guest of honour.
A press release issued by Prof. L. Tongpang Longkumer, Project Incharge, NU: SASRD, Medziphema stated that with the launching of the centre, it will be instrumental in carrying out research on Linseed production, Linseed breeding and popularization of the crop through demonstrations, training & awareness campaign. Linseed has gained huge popularity due to its immense medicinal and industrial potential among farmers all over the world.
Initially, the centre is manned by Prof. L. Tongpang Longkumer as the Project Incharge and Dr. AK Singh as the Co-PI with two Scientist and two technical Assistants.
