Kohima | September 2 : New Market XI will clash with 13 Assam Rifles in the finals of 17th Classic Cup 2011 on September 3 at the Kohima Local Ground at 3:00 PM. Minister for health & family welfare Kuzholuzo Nienu will grace the grand final as the chief guest. The Champion will fetch Rs. 1 lakh while the runners-up will be awarded with Rs. 40,000.

Classic Club, Kohima today defeated Kohima Press Club 4-3 in the exhibition match played here today at the Kohima Local Ground. Winning the match, Classic Club was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 alongwith a trophy while Kohima Press Club also awarded with Rs. 10,000. The prize money was sponsored by Zaputuo Khezhie, deputy director, School Education. Rukulu and Asano compered the match.
