NFR cancels, reschedules trains amid restoration work

Maligaon, August 29 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced changes in train services as restoration work continues near New Harangajao station following settlement of railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2.

Train operations over the Lumding-Badarpur Hill Section are being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures, NFR said.
As part of the ongoing restoration work, the following train services have been cancelled or rescheduled:

Cancelled trains: Train No. 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express, scheduled to commence journeys on August 30 and 31, has been cancelled. Train No. 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express, scheduled to commence journeys on August 31 and September 1, has been cancelled.

Train No. 15617 Guwahati-Dullabcherra Express, scheduled to commence its journey on August 31, has been cancelled. Train No. 15618 Dullabcherra-Guwahati Express, scheduled to commence its journey on September 1, has been cancelled.

Rescheduled trains: Train No. 15650 Narangi-Agartala Express, scheduled on August 30 and 31, will depart Narangi at 6.30 pm. Train No. 01666 Agartala-Rani Kamalapati Special, scheduled on August 30, will depart Agartala at 7.20 pm.

Train No. 20501 Agartala-Anand Vihar Terminal Tejas Express, scheduled on August 31, will depart Agartala at 7 pm. Train No. 14037 Silchar-New Delhi Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Express, scheduled on August 31, will depart Silchar at 10.10 pm.

Regulated train: Train No. 12501 Kolkata-Agartala Express, commencing its journey on August 30, will be regulated suitably en route.

NFR said the changes have been made in view of the ongoing restoration work and the enhanced safety measures being maintained on the affected section.
