Maligaon, July 18 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has extended the services of the Kanpur Central-Guwahati weekly special train by eight additional trips in each direction to meet the increased passenger demand during the ongoing travel season.
According to NFR, Train No. 04127 (Kanpur Central-Guwahati) Weekly Special will depart from Kanpur Central at 8 am every Thursday from July 16 to September 3, while Train No. 04128 (Guwahati-Kanpur Central) Weekly Special will leave Guwahati at 10 pm every Friday from July 17 to September 4.
The additional services will operate on the existing schedule, route and stoppages, providing enhanced connectivity for passengers travelling between Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and other intermediate stations.
The extension of the services, comprising eight additional trips from each originating station, is expected to ease passenger congestion, particularly for those travelling to and from Guwahati during the peak travel period.
Passengers have been advised to check the detailed schedule, timings and stoppages through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or other official railway enquiry channels before undertaking their journey.
NFR said it remains committed to enhancing passenger convenience by introducing additional train services whenever required to cater to growing travel demand.
