Maligaon, November 20 (MExN): The General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Chetan Kumar Shrivastava conducted an inspection of Kamakhyaguri and New Coochbehar Railway Stations in West Bengal on November 19. He was accompanied by Devendra Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Alipurduar Division along with senior officials from NFR Headquarters and Alipurduar Division.
At Kamakhyaguri, the General Manager inspected all the three platforms, the 12-metrewide Foot Over Bridge, lifts, both-side circulating areas, waiting halls, lounge, passenger amenities, parking area, Station Master’s Room and ticket counters. The inspection focused on improvements in passenger amenities, passenger safety, cleanliness and overall asset upkeep.
At New Coochbehar station, the GM reviewed key operational and passenger related facilities, including the Station Superintendent and Station Master’s panel, combined crew lobby, crew running room, waiting halls, retiring room and dormitory along with the circulating area of the station. The inspection focused on assessing the quality of amenities and ensuring that passenger centric infrastructure is maintained efficiently and in line with operational requirements.
The inspection across both stations aimed at strengthening service delivery, improving operational efficiency and further enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.
