MALIGAON, DECEMBER 22 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has recently launched a new world-class executive lounge on the ground floor of Guwahati Railway Station’s Platform Number 1. The new passenger amenity was inaugurated by General Manager, NF Railway Chetan Kumar Shrivastava in the presence of other senior officials of headquarter and division. The lounge has seating capacity of 92 persons at a time. This will provide superior facilities for the passengers waiting for trains, informed a press release issued by NFR Chief Public Relations Offiver Sabyasachi De.
This new executive lounge is equipped with fully air-conditioned facilities, sofa sets, LED television with a musical system, a travel desk, free Wi-Fi, a mini-cloak room, beverage-cum-snacks stalls and more.
Guwahati Railway Station is one of the most important stations of North-East. It is also one the most income generating station of NF Railway. The lounge will provide numerous facilities to travellers including business class passengers. Passengers can feel airport-like-lounge facilities at a minimal charge of Rs. 30 for 1 hour and addition of Rs. 20 for each exceeding hour. Travellers can also get a paid bath and change facility, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
