NFR resumes linen and blanket services on trains

Guwahati, June 14 (MExN): In a sign of things returning the normalcy, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on June 14 informed that it has resumed linen and blankets services on some trains, with more in the offing.  

Services of linens has resumed from June 10 on 8 trains - BG Express, Lachit Express, Ledo Intercity Express, Nagaland Express, Brahmaputra Mail, Northeast Express, Dibrugarh – New Delhi Rajdhani Express and Donyi Polo Express, informed a press release from the NFR CPRO. 

The linen services would be resume soon for Ksr Bengaluru – New Tinsukia Express (June 17); Vivek Express (June 18); Dibrugarh – Chandigarh Express & Tambaram – New Tinsukia Express (June 20); and New Tinsukia – Amritsar Express (June 21), it added. 

The restriction on linen services,  imposed earlier by the Indian Railways in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, was withdrawn from March 2022. The NFR has already resumed these services for few trains originating from Katihar and Alipurduar divisions on March and April, the release said.

Supply of linen and blankets is being done in a phased manner to ensure the proper quality of linen and the NFR is working overtime to bring the service back to 100%, it added.
