Kohima, September 8 (MExN): The District Advisory Committee Meeting of MY Bharat, Niuland District, was held on September 7 at the DC Conference Hall, Niuland.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of TL Kiusumong Tikhir, Deputy Commissioner, Niuland was attended by officials of the District Administration, Education Department, representatives of educational institutions, NSS Programme Officers, youth organisations and MY Bharat.
Kiusumong highlighted the importance of strengthening youth engagement and creating greater awareness about opportunities available to young people through the MY Bharat platform.
K Manikanta, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Niuland highlighted the objectives, activities and various opportunities available for youth through MY Bharat.
MY Bharat coves youth registration and digital profile creation, Experiential Learning Programmes, volunteering opportunities, internships, employment and career-related opportunities, CV creation, digital skill development, youth engagement activities and participation in national-level programmes and initiatives.
The District Advisory Committee members discussed the importance of encouraging maximum youth registration on the MY Bharat platform and ensuring that students and young people are made aware of the various opportunities available to them.
A significant discussion was held following the request of Tuyi Sema, Assistant Education Officer, Niuland, who requested the District Youth Officer and MY Bharat team to conduct awareness and registration drives in Higher Secondary Schools across Niuland District. The Committee also discussed the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027.
It was emphasised that information relating to VBYLD 2027, including registration, selection processes, programme activities and other updates, should be communicated through appropriate official and authenticated channels. Schools, colleges, NSS units and youth organisations were encouraged to actively disseminate authentic information among eligible youth.
During the meeting, District Advisory Committee identified the following key action points; Promote MY Bharat registration among eligible youth in Niuland District, Organise awareness and registration drives in Higher Secondary Schools, Create greater awareness regarding internship and employment opportunities, Disseminate authentic and timely information regarding VBYLD 2027, Encourage maximum participation of eligible youth in MY Bharat programmes; and strengthen coordination among the District Administration, Education Department, educational institutions, NSS units, youth organisations and MY Bharat.
The meeting emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders for effective youth mobilization and ensuring that students and young people receive timely and authentic information regarding registration, internships, employment opportunities, volunteering programmes and national-level youth initiatives.
