NPP National Vice President Vevoyi Wideo submits disqualification petitions against five MLAs to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly office.
Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP) on October 5 filed petitions before the Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly seeking the disqualification of five MLAs who recently left the party to join the Naga People’s Front (NPF). A press release from NPP National Vice President Vevoyi Wideo informed that separate petitions had been filed against each of the five legislators under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution. “We respect the constitutional office of the Hon’ble Speaker and will place our case before him in accordance with law,” the NPP stated. The petitions seek action against the legislators over their move from the NPP to the NPF.
