Dimapur, May 2 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Niki Group) has directed nightclubs, bars, lounges and similar establishments to “strictly prohibit the entry, and entertainment of any person below permissible age.”
In a ‘Ahza’ issued on May 2, the Crime Control Cell of the organisation has instructed all nightclubs, bars, lounges, and similar establishments to strictly prohibit the entry and entertainment of persons below the permissible age.
Owners, managers, and staff have been directed to verify the age of customers by checking valid identification documents before allowing entry or serving them, it stated.
Cautioning against non-compliance, the NSCN-K (Niki Group) stated that allowing underage boys and girls into such establishments would be treated as a serious violation and could invite stringent action, including the closure of the establishment.
The Cell also raised concern over reports that some traders and shopkeepers were allegedly tampering with the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of products and selling expired goods to consumers.
It stated that such practices are illegal, unethical, and pose serious risks to public health and consumer rights.
Accordingly, all traders, shopkeepers, and business establishments have been cautioned against altering or overcharging beyond the printed MRP of products, as well as selling goods that have crossed their expiry date or are unfit for consumption or use.
“Any person or establishment found indulging in such malpractices shall be dealt with severe action as per the Yehzabo of the NSCN/GPRN,” the directive added.
