NSF to verify NEET documents for State quota

KOHIMA, AUGUST 4 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has announced that physical verification of documents for candidates who have qualified through NEET and are seeking admission to various professional courses under the Nagaland state quota will be conducted from August 5 to 7 at the NSF Office in Kohima.

According to a statement issued by the NSF, the verification process will be supervised by the Federation’s Education Committee to ensure a fair and transparent exercise. All selected candidates have been directed to appear in person for the verification, accompanied by their parents or guardians.

Candidates are required to produce the following original documents: a recent passport-sized photograph, NEET Admit Card and Score Card, HSLC and HSSLC Admit Cards, Scheduled Tribe Certificate, and Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate.

Reiterating its longstanding position, the NSF stated that “only candidates who are Nagas by blood and indigenous to the state of Nagaland are eligible to claim seats allotted under the Nagaland state quota.”

The Federation said it has noted instances of non-indigenous applicants attempting to avail benefits under the state quota and asserted that such practices would not be entertained under any circumstances.

It informed that candidates failing to complete the document verification within the stipulated dates will be deemed ineligible for allotment under the state quota.

The Federation also cautioned that strict action would be taken against any candidate found to have submitted misleading or fraudulent documents.

“The NSF reiterates its commitment to safeguarding the rights and interests of the Naga student community and will continue to ensure that opportunities meant for the indigenous people of Nagaland are not compromised,” the statement added.

For any queries or clarifications related to the verification process, candidates may contact 8974523931 or 8731911712, it said.
