NWA conducts state level selection for National belt, free style wrestling c’ship

The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) has conducted state level selection for belt and free style wrestling on October 19 last at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Altogether, 17 boys and one girl have been selected for belt wrestling and they will represent the state at the National belt wrestling championship scheduled for November 21 to 24 at Hyderabad, Telangana.

Further, six men and one women have also been selected to represent the state at the National Free Style championship to be held from November 28 to December 1 at Jalandhar, Punjab.

Akumla Chuba, director, youth resources & sports graced the introductory service of the selection camp while NWA president Neivikuolie Khatsu exhorted the wrestlers. Mosonyi Domeh chaired the function.
