Imphal, December 22 (NNN): Tributes flood in for C. Peter Ngahanyui, Manipur additional DGP who passed away yesterday morning due to multiple illnesses here at his residence. Naga People’s Union Imphal (NPUI) said that it deeply regretted the untimely demise of the 1975 batch of Indian Police Service (IPS) and the first IPS officer among the Nagas.
It also said he was a patriotic and valuable Naga officer that he had selflessly rendered his services for the Naga people, State as a whole and added that the NPUI condoles to his last departed soul and his loving family with grieves and pains hearted. “Indeed, the Lord gave and now the Lord has taken him at His Eternal Home”, NPUI said.
