Phek, October 20 (DIPR): District Level Quiz & Singing Competition programme for Phek District was held in DPDB Conference hall, Phek on October 20, which was organized by District Mission Authority (SSA) Phek, The Phek Deputy Commissioner, Mikha Lomi who is also the Chairman of District Mission Authority, Phek graced as the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the people of Phek district are also second to none as they have the talent and potential to compete with the rest of the people. In many events of competition we have achieved laurel to our district, he said and called upon the participants to expose their hidden talents, work hard and have strong determination, in order to achieve greater height of excellence which would ultimately bring laurel to the district.
While wishing and encouraging the participants, he called upon them to give their best performance and effort in the journey of competing. He also said that the need of the hour is healthy competition with sincerity and ability to compete with the rest of the world. The Dc gave away the prizes to all the winners.
The winner in solo competition was declared to Zuhnelu of GPS “A” and Vetuhu of Baptist Mission High School, Phek Village bagged the second place and Puteu of TMT School, Pfutsero was adjudged the third place. In the duet competition, Menete-u and Neikhrolhi-u of GMHS, Chizami were adjudged as the winner and Veratalu and Kukulu of Bishop Abraham Memmorial School, Phek Town and Winda and Zhughenve of GMS Akhegwo were adjudged as the second and third place. In the quiz competition, first place was bagged by Luglennlal Dennis Silhou and Manita Thockchom of St. Xavier School Meluri, Second was adjudged by Nienie- of Union Christian School Pfutsero and Vepokhoyi of GMS Phusachodu and Ruluyi and Nukhozo of GHSS Chozuba.
The function was chaired by Thehiechulhou, District Education Officer, Phek while Thupuchiyi Associate Pastor PTBC invoked God blessing and vote of thanks was gave by Vekhozo ADC DMA.
