Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): Three days after it was reported that the Principal of Nazareth School, Rev. Fr. Arul SJ was assaulted by five men for disciplining a student, the Mesulumi Students’ Union (MSU), Mesulumi has alleged that the Principal “assaulted the minor student ( Metsote Khalo, 11)resulting in profuse nose bleeding and swelling of face.” The Union has vehemently condemned the assault meted out to the minor student. It urged the concerned authority to take appropriate action under the RTE/ Corporal Punishment Act against the Principal.
The Union has further condemned the “immature resolution” adopted by Nazareth School to expel the brothers and sisters of Metsote Khalo studying in the school who are in no way connected to the incident and urged the concerned authority to revoke the resolution.
Meanwhile, the Chakhesang Catholic Union (CCU) has condemned the assault on the Principal of Nazareth School, Pfutsero.
