The Photography Club Dimapur (PCD) announced its 4th annual photography festival, scheduled to take place on September 19 and 20 at the Mandeville Garden in Dimapur. The festival will feature collaborations with major photography equipment companies, including Canon, Nikon, Lumix, and Sony, with workshops and seminars planned for both days. The organisers also announced that a filmmaker from Myanmar and Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton will be present as special guests. 

The event will include a photography workshop free of charge. Equipment companies will be providing certificates to participants who attend the workshops.

Besides photography-related activities, the festival will host stalls run by local entrepreneurs, providing an opportunity for attendees to support local businesses. The event aims to showcase young talents and offer opportunities to aspiring artists.

Organizers stressed that the festival is a family-oriented event, with a dedicated kids’ corner and activities for children. Professional photographers will be available to take family portraits. Notable artists such as Moko Koza and Matubo Zeliang are scheduled to perform on different days.

The entry fee for the festival is set at Rs 100. Gates will open at 10:00 am and open till 9:30 pm. 

In addition to the workshops and demonstrations, a photo competition will be held, with details available on the Photography Club Dimapur’s Instagram page. An on-the-spot photography competition is also planned, offering cash prizes. Arm wrestling and fitness events will also be featured.
