Kohima | October 21 : Nagaland Police today observed Police Commemoration Day Parade here and pay respect and honour to police personnel who have sacrificed their lives while performing their duties to maintain peace and integrity in the country.
Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland, K. Kire along with other top police officers were present at the programme held at the Tennis Court, New Police Reserve, Phesama.
Kire took the salute and briefed the significance of the day.Presentation of Roll of Honour and laying of wreaths marked the day.
The names of all 635 police personnel, who laid their lives in performing their duties during the year from all over the country, was read out with full police honour and salute. Among them three police personnel were from Nagaland.
