Dimapur, July 18 (MExN): The NNC has reiterated that “politically and constitutionally wrong persons of three or four from Yimchungrii and around twenty Sumi newcomers” cannot represent and called themselves NNC (Non-accordist).
Reacting to the claim, the NNC in a press note issued by its Information & Publicity Wing stated: “They are nobody to question the authority (Leader) of NNC in particular and the Naga National Council as a whole. The very recent newcomers who only want money and position cannot claim to be NNC Official. Nobody will recognize their claim since they are wrong and politically banished persons creating trouble and confusion in the minds of the people to extort money in Dimapur Area. These persons will be fully exposed now because of their nefarious activity against the legitimate NNC Authority and the whole political Institution of the Nagas.”
In regard to this, it has once again condemned the “few money mongers who wanted to capture NNC Body but in vain because they are only a few frustrated on the wrong ground and illegitimate (sic)”.
The NNC under the elected leadership of Dr. Senka, Gen.Retd.I.Panger, Keviche, V.Nagi and S Ezung command the whole NNC with absolute majority have full authority to exercise political and institutional power of the NNC to promote, uplift, and further the cause of Naga Freedom, it stated.
It also said that the NNC must say once again that few individuals with “vested interest” in the society cannot do as they like. These vested and power monger few are not above the Institution of the Nagas and the absolute majority of the House decisions and resolutions.
“Therefore they cannot tarnish or undo the Leadership of V.Nagi or any other elected Officials who are recognised by one and all as long as they are on the right political and constitutional stand in this matter. So the wrong and the terminated persons or the very recent newcomers who called themselves kilonser,tatar,etc. may keep on writing but carries no political weight at all and nobody will recognize them. The NNC Body will be very amuse to watch and write all the time like as a game in this matter (sic),” it stated.

‘Yimchungers are no more puppet’
Dimapur, July 18 (MExN): Responding to the press statement, which appeared on July 14 under the headline "NNC Yimchunger Region Refute", the Yimchungrii Region has stated that the declaration of Army Rule within its region was not decided under its Leader V. Nagi's request nor under his instruction. So there is “no road to blame V.Nagi”.
A rejoinder issued by Brigadier Kiuthsang, Naga National Army Yimchunger Region stated that the NNC Yimchungrii Region said that we the Yimchungers are no more puppet to work under one's direction, in fact we are the masters of our own region and the so called happiness lies upon us.'
The NNC Yimchunger Region said that it would not tolerate anymore under the “leaderships of portraits- kiumukam and Thrananbah who were always after money and position (sic)”. In connection with this, it has warned the "two top foolish leaders" not to mislead the NNC, “the freedom of the Naga people”.
The Region has also informed Kiumukam and Thrananbah and public that within its three months of Army Rule, whatever happened or is going to happen will not be V. Nagi's responsibility but will be the sole responsibility of the above mentioned leaders. The Yimchunger Region furthermore asked these two self-styled leader to get equipped themselves because it is a universally accepted truth that "you will reap what you sow".
