Kohima, November 25 (MExN): The Electrical Sub Division No-I Kohima informed the electricity consumers falling under paramedical colony Kohima that due to damage of the 5000KVA, 11/0.4KV distribution transformer at Para Medical Sub Station on November 24, power supply has been disrupted.
It said that temporary arrangement of transformer has been made and installed in place of the damaged transformer, however since the replaced transformer is only haft of the capacity of the original one; local/feeder wise load shedding will be affected in para medical colony till the damaged transformer is repaired.Consumers in the affected areas have been requested to kindly to bear with the situation.
In the meantime, all the electricity consumers in Kohima town have also been requested to use power judiciously and desist from using heaters, electric cookers etc. since most of the distribution transformers are overloaded and similar situation may arise if the transformers get burnt of damaged.
