Kohima, October 18 (MExN): Poumai Public Union Kohima (PPUK) Condemn has strongly condemned the October 7 incident where 6 NSCN (I-M) and an civilian was killed and five others injured including Brig. Sounii Poumai at the border area of Taosang and Leisok village of Nungba sub-division under Tamenlong district , Manipur.
A condemnation letter issued by C.D John President PPUK said that while Nagas are yearning and working hard, reconciling within the Naga family, such an unfortunate accident would disturb the process. The union has appealed to all the factions to refrain such accident in future as desire by all Nagas. PPUK further, conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and wish speedy recovery to those who were injured.
Meanwhile the PPUK has also mourned the untimely demise of ZM Sekhose President of Tenyimia Peoples’ Organization (TPO) on October 6 at Mumbai after a brief illness.
PPUK said he was a great leader and his death was a great loss for the Nagas in general and Tenyimia families in particular. The union has extended condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
